Desperados Planning To Set Me On Collision With APC National Leadership – Gov. Alia

Benue State Governor, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia has declared that he remained firm in his support and allegiance to the leadership of the National Working Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC), under the leadership of Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.

This was as he said that at no point did he assembled, attended, sent a representative or participated in any meeting to discuss the call for resignation and or removal of the national chairman of the APC, Dr. Ganduje, whom he has high regards for as well as has very cordial and smooth relationship with.

Governor Alia, who stated this while responding to an allegation emanating from what he described as “very familiar sources within the ranks of the allied forces against development in Benue State,” said that the group doctored and aired on a pseudo “Anchor TV”, insinuating that he called for the resignation of the National Chairman of the APC, Dr. Ganduje.

Alia pointedly said that the claims which originated from a propagandist evil pot, with a devious aim to wreck the sound relationship between him and the National Leadership of the APC led by Dr Umar, are baseless and lack any factual merit.

The Governor who stated these in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Tersoo Kula, stressed that at no point, whether publicly or privately, did he advocated for or expressed any desire for the resignation of the National Chairman of the APC.

He further said; “We urge members of the idle opposition, both within and without, who seems ready to devote all of their energies to fabricating falsehoods, to change course and channel these energies into substantive and constructive discourse rather than resorting to such frivolous and distracting tactics.

“Governor Alia is a Reverend Gentleman, very focused and determined to continue in his deliberate efforts to changing the fortunes of Benue State.

“He is alive to his responsibilities as the leader of APC in Benue State and is doing everything legitimate to reposition the party for future victories,” it stated.
