Rivers Police Boss Odesanya Dies In India

The Rivers State Commissioner of Police, Francis Bolaji Odesanya, is dead. He died on Tuesday January 31, 2017 at the Sterling Hospital Ahmedabad-Gujarat in India, where he had gone for medical treatment over an undisclosed ailment.
According to a source, Odesanya, who has been battling with sickness in recent times, embarked on a visit to India in continuation of efforts to seek medical solution for his ailment.
The late Commissioner of Police joined the Nigeria Police Force on 1st February, 1986 as a Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police and rose through the rank.
Odesanya also served as Deputy Commissioner of Police (Department of Operations) and that of Finance and Administration in Rivers State before he was eventually promoted and posted as Commissioner of Police Rivers State Police Command on 20th July, 2016.
