Bandits Sack Community In Niger State, Kidnap People, Rustle Cattle

Armed bandits numbering over 50 have on Monday afternoon attacked Kukoki Community in Shiroro Local Government Area (LGA) of Niger State.

The bandits sacked the entire villagers and looted members of the communityā€™s valuable and other properties.

The bandits that wielded sophisticated weapons also rustled a large number of cattle as well as abducted some people from the village.

A member of the community, who narrowly escaped the attacks, Mallam Bello Abdullahi, said the bandits stormed the village at about 2:00pm and started assaulting the people physically as well as looted properties and kidnapping people.
He said women and children have to cross a river in the community to flee from the bandits.

Abdullahi also said that the bandits arrived the community on 18 motorcycles adding that each of the motorcycles carried three of the bandits.

He further said that while some members of the community were trapped in Kukogi, he was lucky to have escaped with few people to Kagara town.
