COVID-19: Buhari Extends PTF Mandate To March 2021

With growing fears that the coronavirus pandemic is coming strong again in the country, President Muhammadu Buhari has extended to March 2021 the mandate of Presidential Task Force (PTF) on COVID-19

The President’s decision is informed by the likely spread of a second wave of the virus nationwide.

President Buhari spoke when he received members of the PTF, who were in the State House to submit their end of the year 2020 report to him.

According to him, the nation cannot afford to lose the gains of the past nine months in the fight against the pandemic.
