Details of the meeting which held behind closed doors were still sketchy as at the time of the report, it was however gathered that Saraki might met with the former President for consultations and direction on the way forward with the All Progressives Congress (APC) government that is not respecting the provisions of the constitution and the rule of law.

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo, Babangida, General TY Danjuma, Professor Ango Abdullahi amonst many other past leaders have come on hard and very critical on President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration which they accused of lacking direction in its handling of the economy, insecurity and general welfare of the people.

In spite of the political crises that face the nation, General Babangida has continued to appeal to politicians to play by the rules with a view to ensuring the protection of national security, national cohesion and democratic values for national interest.
