BY AMOS TAUNA, KADUNA – Abductors of a Pastor with the Nigerian Baptist Church, Udawa in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna state, Pastor Elisha S. Noma, have demanded a N20million ransom for his release.
The state chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Rev. Joseph John Hayab, said the Pastor was picked up from his house by kidnappers early hours of Wednesday with his son at Ungwan Makere near Udawa in Chikun Local Government Area.
Hayab said the Pastor and his son were taken away by the kidnappers that broke into the residence of the pastor at about 2am, adding however that the abductors later released the son.
The son of the kidnapped Pastor, Mr. Emmanuel Noma, who was also earlier abducted together with his father, said the kidnappers have made contacts with the family and demanded for N20 million.
He said; “They have contacted the family this afternoon and demanded for N20 million. We told them we don’t have that kind of money. We are still negotiating with them.”
