BY AHMED TUKUR LAFIA – he nephew of former Minister of Information, Mr Labaran Maku, who was abducted in the early hours of Thursday in the house of the former Minister at Gudi in Akwanga Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, has been murdered by his abductors.
This is as Governor Abdullahi Sule, has vowed that his administration through security agencies would fish out the killers of Salisu Usman, the nephew to former Minister of Information, Maku.
Sule made the vow when he visited the family compound to condole the parents of the deceased in Gudi area of Akwanga Local Government.
The late Usman was until his abduction and subsequent murder by heartless kidnappers, an officer with the Nigerian Immigration Service.
The kidnappers after murdering him, dumped the remains of his lifeless body behind his family compound in Gudi from where he was abducted.
A visibly infuriated Governor Sule, also said that his administration will spare no efforts in tackling violent crimes in the state.
Sule described the killings as barbaric and totally unjustifiable, saying that his administration will ensure that the perpetrators are brought to book.
He prayed God to grant the souls of the deceased officer and his sister rest.
Mr. Labaran Maku, a former minister and brother of the father of the late siblings, thanked the governor for the visit and called for sustained efforts to rid the state of criminal elements.
