Speaking through his media aide, Sam Onwuemeodo, Senator Okorocha also congratulated the APC members in Imo for the victory, stressing that all hands must be on deck to support the new governor.

The statement by Onwuemeodo also quoted Owelle Okorocha, who supported his Son-in-Law and Action Alliance (AA) candidate, Ugwumba Uche Nwosu in the March 9, 2019 gubernatorial race, as assuring the new governor of his unflinching support in the task of moving Imo State forward.

Meanwhile, as jubilation by APC members as well as reflection from their Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) counterparts continue to trail the Supreme Court’s judgment, the Police Public Relations Officer in Imo State, Orlando Ikeokwu said the Command was fully on top of the security situation.

Amidst palpable tension in the State, the Police Spokesman warned parents and guardians against allowing their children and wards to be used by anyone or group to cause trouble anywhere in the state.

He said that anyone or group of persons doing otherwise would not only be arrested, but also made to face the full wrath of the law.

Ikeokwu, however urged members of the public to go about their lawful business without fear of molestation and intimidation as machinery are in place to ensure security of lives and properties within the South East state.

This is as supporters of Senator Uzodinma and APC took to the streets of Owerri, the state capital, to celebrate and express their happiness over current developments in the state – With agency reports
