The African Democratic Congress (ADC), Kaduna State chapter has described as fake and an unauthorised announcement that it has concluded plans to commission a State Party secretariat within the State metropolis.
A statement by the State Publicity Secretary of the party, Hon. Alex Tagwai pointedly declared that there was no such plan by the ADC in Kaduna State.
Tagwai, who stated these while debunking the fake announcements making the rounds on the social media, pointedly declared that the announcement did not emanate from the party, but by some impostors that are working on the instructions of the enemies of the party in the state.
Tagwai specifically said that the National Secretariat of the ADC has equally denied knowledge of the fake commissioning of a state Secretariat in Kaduna, as it was being speculated by the impostors.
The spokesperson of the ADC, also said that the State Working Committee of the Party did not set up any Local Organizing Committee (LOC) as claimed by the impostors in the announcement.
The ADC therefore cautioned members of the public and in particular, members and supporters of the party in Kaduna and beyond to beware of the announcers, and ignore such announcements aimed at causing confusion and heating up the polity.
In the words of Tagwai; “The announcement is not in tandem with the style, modus operandi and policy of the party. These people are only out to destroy the party”.
The spokesperson of the ADC in Kaduna State however, said that even though the party has secured a befitting structure
along Unguwar Kanawa/NDA Junction (Zaria-Kaduna Road) for its State Secretariat, the party is yet to fix date and time for the commissioning as was being speculated by the impostors.
According to Tagwai; “Whenever it is time to commission the party’s State Secretariat, the party shall communicate to the members of the public with the approval of the National Secretariat of the party”.
The ADC called on its members to remain law-abiding and to ensure peaceful coexistence in the state, pending when it would communicate further and authentic details to the public in line with established procedure of the party.
