2019 PDP Governorship Aspirant In Kaduna Joins APC
BY AMOS TAUNA, KADUNA – A former governorship aspirant on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in Kaduna State Dr Muhammad Sani Bello, who defected from the party has joined the All Progressive Congress (APC).
Dr Sani-Bello in his twitter handle said; “Having resigned my membership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), last Monday, 12th November, 2018, l am pleased to announce my decision to join the All Progressive Congress, APC, with effect from today, Saturday, 17th November, 2018.
“My mission in APC is to contribute towards entrenching good governance in Kaduna state and beyond, God willing.”
Dr. Sani-Bello, had on Monday, November 12, 2018 announced his decision at a press briefing in Kaduna, saying that he left the PDP owing to unending mistrust between him and the state leadership of the party and its governorship candidate, Hon Isa Ashiru.
According to him; “Based on consultations with my supporters and other stakeholders, I have decided that from today November 12, 2018, I Dr Muhammad Sani-Bello ceases to be a member of the PDP.”
He explained that the mistrust emanated from the refusal of the party leaders in the state to put the term of consensus which led to his stepping down for Ashiru into writing prior to the party’s gubernatorial primaries.
