2021 UTME: JAMB Commences Form Sales April 8
BY TEMI OHAKWE, ABUJA – The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) is set to commence the sales of forms for the 2021 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME) and Direct Entries programmes.
The exercise has been scheduled to flag-off on Thursday, April 8 and end on Saturday, May 15, 2021.
Similarly, the Board also hinted that June 5, 2021, has been slated as the commencement date for 2021 UTM Examinations.
The Board disclosed these in a statement signed by its Head Media and Public Affairs, Dr Fabian Benjamin, explaining that the National Identity Number (NIN) is now a mandatory requirement for participation in the 2021 registration exercise for its examinations.
According to the statement; “after its meeting on 22nd March, 2021, the Governing Board of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board approved NIN for registration of both Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations and Direct Entries.”
The Board also said registration will take place in about 700 centres across the country, adding that the list of centres is accessible on its website, www.jamb.gov.ng
The statement further detailed that; “Registration exercise will start on Thursday, 8th April to Saturday, 15th May, 2021. Candidates are also to note that the registration for DE applicants would run concurrently with that of UTME candidates.
“There would be no extension of time for the sale of the UTME/DE application documents.
It also stated that; “Optional Mock will be held on Friday, 30th April, 2021 (for those who indicate interest and registered before 24th of April, 2021”
“The venue of the examination will be at any of the centres in the candidate’s chosen examination town.
“The registration fee for the 2021 application documents is N3,500 and N500 for the recommended reading text.”
