2023 Presidency: Group Makes Case For Gov. Bala Mohammed
BY AMEH IDUJAGI, JALINGO – As political calculations for 2023 presidency intensifies, the Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed Vanguard 2023 (BAM-V2023) on Thursday called on the Bauchi state governor, Senator Bala Mohammed to make himself available to run for the President of the country.
The Director General of the vanguard, Mr Mohammed Abubakar Jibo, who made the call in Jalingo during the inauguration of the state executive of the vanguard, said that the current security, economic, political and social situation of the state has called for action.
The BAM-V2023 inaugurated Mr Hassan Abubakar with Mr Kubam Ayuba Kwanchi as the state coordinator and deputy respectively among other officials.
He said that the group was formed a year ago to impress on Governor Bala Mohammed to join the presidential race in the 2023 general elections.
He said; “This call has become imperative considering the present state of affairs in our great country. Things are in shambles and keep deteriorating daily. Economically, politically, and socially, there are lots of uncertainties. Ethnic and religious intolerance have taken unimaginable dimensions. Security wise, the situation is getting worse by the day.
“Senator Bala Mohammed has what it takes to change the narrative and set the country on the right path once again. Let us do this, not for Bala Mohammed, but for all of us and our future”.
Mr Kubam Ayuba Kwanchi, who represented the state coordinator, Mr Hassan Abubakar said that the 2023 Presidential race must be deliberate and all efforts must be put in place to ensure that the right persons are elected to man the affairs of the country at all levels.
He urged the presidential candidate of the PDP in the last election to also throw his weight behind Mohammed in achieving the dream.
