Former Director General of the National Orientation Agency NOA), Dr. Mike Omeri has declared that he will be on the ballot for 2027 elections to provide purposeful and developmental leadership for the Nasarawa South Senatorial District.
Omeri, who stated this in a statement on Monday, April 20, 2026, said his approach will be futuristic by preparing everyone to face the present squarely while preparing for the future with great hope and optimism.
This was as he reaffirmed his commitment to providing purposeful and visible leadership for Nasarawa South
Omeri, whose campaign is anchored on performance and service said, he will empower minds and drive a socially complimentary economic agenda to ensure that no one is left behind in multiple sectors as best possible.
He explained that this can be achieved via fostering a culture of entrepreneurship and innovation, providing support for start-ups and small businesses to encourage inclusion for self preservation.
Omeri further said; “Over the years, the population has become beggarly in a situation where the ladder of poverty keeps growing higher by eliminating the middle class and suffocating the masses.
“Our mantra and campaign direction shall be focused mainly on organising, uniting, transforming and building communities in real terms,” he said.
The former NOA DG also said that another area of focus shall be investment in enduring people centric infrastructure, community supported medicare, and social services that improve the overall quality of life for Nasarawa South.
In the words of Omeri; “We are duty bound when elected, to deliver a task and that would determine the steps we shall take honourably in all spaces in Nasarawa South.
“Nasarawa South shall reclaim our leadership of purpose and direction, of wealth creation and education. We shall be our brothers’ keepers in all ways and in all forms within human capacity, rooted in God Almighty and with the fear of His wrath.” Omeri re-echoed
According to Omeri; “We must envision a constituency where people thrive, contributing meaningfully to the socio-economic progress of our society in an ecosystem that supports the growth of everyone and all sectors”.
