The African Democratic Congress (ADC), has said that having watched the almost three years in office of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress-led federal government, it is scary to contemplate allowing them to continue in office beyond 2027.
Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, National Publicity Secretary of the ADC, who stated the position of the Party on Friday, January 16, 2026, when he featured on Channels Television programme ‘Politics Today’, stressed that the possibility of Nigerians having to continue with what the current APC government is doing under President Tinubu is too scary to contemplate.

In the words of Abdullahi; “The year 2025 was a very good one for the ADC family. When we started in July last year, many people thought we won’t go far.
“The ruling party itself dismissed us. They said the coalition will collapse before anyone would know it, but seven months after, in 2026, here we are getting stronger than before.
“I am very confident that if you gather political scientists to study the trajectory of political party development, they will probably tell you that ADC has one of the fastest growths in Nigeria political history,” he said.
Abdullahi also said that Nigerians are tired of insecurity like never experienced before, misery, large scale introduction of poverty, lack of employment, high cost of living, unnecessary loans that end up in the pockets of few public office holders, excessive taxation of the people for the comfort of those in office, hyper inflation amongst other vices.
He further said; “Nigerians will surely take their destiny in their own hands and decide their future by voting out the APC as doing otherwise is too scary to contemplate”.
