Following what she described as excessive demands for intimacy and abusive behaviour, a Harare lady, Melocia Gwata, has sought legal protection from her husband, George Kusotera.
Melocia told the Harare Civil Court, Zimbabwe how her husband coerced her into having s3x up to eight times per night, saying that he usually resorts to violence whenever she turndown his demand or unable to cope.

Melocia, appeared before Magistrate Judith Taruvinga, at the Harare Civil Court, said that her husband, George, had been making excessive demands for s3x on daily basis, stressing that he always wakes her up in the middle of the night after multiple encounters on the same day.
In the words of Melocia; “He wants to have s3x every day and wakes me up in the middle of the night, even after we have been intimate countless times on the same day”.
She further said that the sexual demands have taken a serious toll on her physical and mental health.
Melocia specifically said that when she could no longer endure his demands due to fatigue and physical pain, George resorts to assaulting her.
According to Melocia; “George threatened to divorce me if I continued to reject his advances, with the abuse even occurring in front of our children.
“He has been assaulting me, shouting obscenities and telling our children that I don’t deserve to be called their mother,” she stated.
However, George, who was in court, acknowledged his wife’s concerns, thus apologised for his actions which he attributed to his love for her and his inability to resist her looks which gets him worked up easily.
In the words of George; “I didn’t realise I was making her uncomfortable. I apologise and promise not to physically abuse her anymore”.
Magistrate Taruvinga after listening to the couples, granted Melocia protection order against her husband, ensuring her safety from further abuse.
