2027: Northern Groups Mobilises For Seyi Makinde’s Presidency

BY ADEYEMI AKANJI, BAUCHI –  A coalition of some advocacy pressure groups on the aegis of ‘Nigeria Youths Awareness Group Makinde 2027’ (NYAG Makinde 2027), has declared that considering the present political situation in the country, only Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, is properly fit and positioned to move Nigeria forward as President in 2027.

National Secretary of the group, Mr Lawal Abdullahi, who stated this during an interactive session with journalists on Saturday, said the movement will takeover Northern Nigeria for Seyi Makinde after which the Southern Nigeria will be visited.

Abdullahi said that the group has keenly followed Governor Makinde’s achievements in Oyo State and discovered that he is a focused administrator, someone who is committed to making lives better and not giving to fake and failed promises.

According to Abdullahi; “Governor Makinde is the kind of leader we need now in Nigeria unlike others that just make empty promises and using force to garner support”.

He also said that members of the group have met with different groups and agreed to have a common front for the Seyi Makinde for President 2027 project.

Abdullahi said; “We are a moving train and no stopping us until we achieved our objective of a Seyi Makinde presidency”.

He also said that members of the group met and concluded that it will throw its strength and full weight behind the Seyi Makinde 2027 Presidential project by mobilizing the entire North for him.

According to Abdullahi; “We have made consultations with prominent politicians and eminent personalities across the country and we have their support.

“The Seyi Makinde 2027 project is a massive movement which will catch and spread like wildfire. We have concluded all necessary arrangements, the posters, billboards, handbills and other branded products are ready, by next week in-sha Allah, they will flood the entire Northern Nigeria.

“Kano, Katsina, Jigawa, Borno, Yobe, Gombe will explode for Seyi Makinde next week. Other states will follow subsequently.

We have keenly followed his achievements in Oyo State and discovered that he is a focused administrator, someone who is committed to making lives better. He is the kind of leader we need now in Nigeria.”
