22-Year-Old Bride Killed In Jigawa State

A Twenty-Two-year-old bride, Zainab Ibrahim was butchered by unknown persons inside the Warfare Quarters in Hadejia Local Government Area of Jigawa State five weeks after her wedding.

Spokesman of the Command, SP Lawan Shiisu Adam, who disclosed this in a statement to newsmen, said the incident happened, on 12/03/2024 at about 1420hrs in Warware Quarters, Hadejia LGA

He said the Police in Hadejia received a distress call that one Zainab Ibrahim of Warware Quarters, Hadejia LGA was found unconscious in pool of her blood at her five (5) weeks matrimonial home.

According to him, Police operatives rushed to the scene and noticed a deep cut on her throat, she was rushed to General Hospital Hadejia.

The Command Public Relations Officer (PRO) explained that at the hospital, the Medical doctor on call pronounced her Dead on Arrival (DOA)

SP Adam said investigation has already commenced and efforts are in top gear to apprehend and bring to justice perpetrators of the heinous crime.
