BY AMEH IDUAGI, JALINGO – A 9year old pupil of Muhawshat Primary School Jalingo, Taraba State, Muhammad Sudas Umar Yola has been strangled to death by his Arabic Teacher.
It was gathered that the 9 year old, Muhammad Suddas Umar Yola, son of a prominent Jalingo based businessman, got missing Sunday night when he went for Magrib prayer in a Mosque close to his father’s house in Nana Aisha area of the state capital.
It was further gathered that when the boy did not return home after the prayers, a search party was organized to comb around for the missing boy.
However, a friend of the deceased teenager, it was gathered informed his parents how the Arabic Teacher by name Hashiru Bala, has been asking them about movement of the victim as well as his brothers and sisters few days before the incident.
Dependable sources, said it was at that point that the search team went to the residence of Hashiru Bala to inquire if he knows of the whereabouts of the deceased teenager.
Family members, who spoke with our Correspondent said initially, Hashiru denied ever seeing the victim, but when members of Department of State Services (DSS) were called to help resolve the issue, the Arabic teacher opened up and confessed that he strangulated the 9 year old boy to death.
It was gathered that Hashiru later led the security operatives to a compound where he dumped the lifeless body of the 9 year old.
Further checks indicate that Hashiru made mentioned of two other young boys of between the ages of 19 and 20 years that were also connected with the murder and were immediately arrested by the DSS.
When contacted, the Taraba State Police Command Public Relations officer, ASP David Misal said the incident occurred directly behind the DSS office in Jalingo, adding that the matter was being handled by the DSS and was yet to be transferred to the police.
Meanwhile, a senior state security operatives in Jalingo, who would not want his name in print confirmed the incident, saying that investigation into the matter is in progress.
He confided in our correspondent that all those arrested in connection with the gruesome murder of the 9 year old pupil would be changed to court when the investigations are concluded.
Since the murder of the Sudais Umar Yola, on Monday, sympathizers have been trooping to the residence of his father to sympathize with the family.
It was gathered that the deceased had traveled twice to Saudi Arabia for Holy Pilgrimage with his father.
