Abduction Of Jangebe Girls Will Be The Last – Buhari Vows

BY VICTOR BUORO, ABUJA – President Muhammadu Buhari on Sunday, vowed that the abduction of female students from the Government Girls Science Secondary School, Jangebe in Zamfara State, will be the last to take place in the country.

President Buhari, who made the vow through his Minister of Aviation, Senator Hadi Sirika, when he led a Federal Government delegation on a sympathy visit to the government and people of Zamfara State, assured that some new measures have been put in place by the Federal Government to bring about a complete end to all forms of criminality in the country.

Buhari said that he is extremely saddened by the abduction of the Jangebe’’s female students, saying that his administration has the resources and wherewithal to contain the criminals.

The President through Senator Sirika commended the efforts of Governor Bello Muhammad of Zamfara State against armed banditry and assured of a continuous support to bringing about lasting peace.

According to him; “The Federal Government will continue its partnership with Zamfara State Government and its citizens in resolving the security challenges facing the state”.

Responding, Governor Muhammad thanked President Buhari and the federal government for the concern, and expressed the hope that very soon, the abductees would regain their freedom.

Mohammed said; “I strongly believe in the president and his effort in fighting all forms of insurgence and urge him to improve on the nation’s security.

”This is by ensuring synergy among the security agencies so that confrontations with criminals can be coordinated on ground and air simultaneously”.

On the delegation were the Minister of Police Affairs, Alhaji Maigari Dingyadi, Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management, Hajiya Sa’adiya Umar-Faruk and Minister of Women Affairs, Mrs. Pauline Tallen.
