One of the most notorious and deadly terrorists’ kingpin, Dogo Gide has finally released four out of the 11 remaining students of the Federal Government Girls’ College Yauri, Kebbi state after over 22 months in their captivity.
Eleven students of the FGC, Yauri kidnapped by terrorists who invaded their hostel on June 17, 2021.
However, two of the recently released female students returned home with two babies they delivered while in captivity.
It was gathered that the release of the four female students that were kidnapped more than two years ago did not take place without payment of a huge amount of money as ransom.
This was as it was further gathered that the monies for the ransom payment had to be generated by parents and other stakeholders as it was evident that the Kebbi state government was reluctant to meet the demands of the terrorists, a development that compelled the parents of the kidnapped students to appeal to Nigerians to come to their aid in order to secure the release of their children from the den of the terrorists.
The terrorists’ kingpin, Dogo Gide had consistently insisted that certain conditions must be met by the Kebbi State government before the remaining girls would be released. It was gathered that Gide specifically demanded for the payment of N100million before he could release the girls.
