AIG Imue Dies In Lagos Hospital @59

Late AIG Pius U Imue

BY VICTOR BUORO, ABUJA – The Nigeria Police Force has announced the demise of a serving Assistant Inspector General of Police in-charge of Maritime, Pius Uebari Imue, who passed on Monday, August 7, 2017 at the age of 59 years after a brief illness at St Nicholas Hospital, Lagos Island, Lagos State.

The late AIG Imue enlisted into the Nigeria Police Force on January 1, 1984 as Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police at Police Staff College Jos and rose through the rank to the position of Assistant Inspector General of Police.

He served as Commissioner of Police, Department of Logistic and Supply in Force Headquarters and Commissioner of Police Railway in Lagos before he was promoted to Assistant Inspector General of Police on September 23, 2016.

The Late Imue was previously the Assistant Inspector General of Police, Communications at the Force Headquarters and later Assistant Inspector General of Police Maritime, a position he held until his sudden demise after a brief illness.

The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Ibrahim Idris, and management team, on behalf of the entire Officers and men of the Nigeria Police Force, have commiserated with the Imue’s family of Norkwiri-Boue town in Khana Local Government, Rivers State, the Government and good people of Rivers State on the passage unto glory of their illustrious son.

IGP Idris prayed God to grant the soul of the Late Imue rest and grant his family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
