Following the attack on the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), Kaduna by bandits on August 24, 2021, the military high command has arrested an Air Force personnel in connection with the incident.
The arrest of Air Force Sergeant Torsabo Solomon is taking place three months after the sad incident that shook military authorities.
Until his arrest, Sergeant Solomon was attached to 153 Base Support Group (BSG) Nigerian Air Force Comprehensive School, Yola, Adamawa state
It was gathered that BSG Commander ordered his arrest on the request of the Commandant, Nigerian Defence Academy, Kaduna, after preliminary investigations that allegedly indicted him with the bandits’ attack on the military academy in August this year.
The arrest of the Air Force personnel, Sergeant Torsabo Solomon in Yola, Adamawa State was carried out on the order of the Base Commander upon request by the Commandant of the NDA.

Solomon, who was allegedly arrested in connection with the attack on the Nigerian Defence Academy was immediately flown to Kaduna in a waiting Nigerian military plane for further investigation.
Armed bandits had in the early hours of August 24, 2021 stormed and attacked the military training institution’s permanent site during which they killed two officers and abducting a Major.
It was gathered that the bandits, who disguised in military uniforms drove into the NDA in a vehicle and easily passed through the security gate into the academy and proceeded straight to the officers’ quarters.
