Akwa Ibom LG Poll: Police Command Reviews Restriction Of Movements
BY VICTOR BUORO, ABUJA – The Akwa Ibom State Police Command has announced a review of the time for the restriction of movement during the Saturday Local Government elections in the state.
The review indicates that a commencement of the restriction of persons and vehicular movement from 12 mid-night of Friday December 1, 2017 and will terminate by 4:00pm of Saturday December 2, 2017.
A statement by the Police Public Relations Officer of the Command, DSP Bala Elkana explained that the adjustment became necessary due to the feedbacks and concerns received from members of the public.
He said; “The review is to allow the good people of the State to return to their normal businesses immediately after the election.
“The Command sincerely appreciate the support and co-operation of the members of the public, in its quest to provide quality policing services to the people.
