Dare devil gunmen on Wednesday attacked and disrupted an interactive session between Isuofia youths and the former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Professor Charles Soludo at Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State, killing three of his police orderlies.
It was gathered that at the initial stage when the gunshots started firing out, most of the people gathered were not bothered thinking it supporters that were using gun bullets to hail Sulodo for a brilliant speech he delivered and was rounding up.
However, stampede soon set in and took over the hall as the gunmen gained entrance into the main hall and open fire directly at the policemen attached to Soludo and followed up by picking their weapons.
However, Soludo was able to escape from the gunmen and is presently in a safe area and in touch with some members of his family.
One of his brothers told Forefront News that; “I can tell you he is safe because I have been in touch with him”.
The police is yet to issue a statement on the incident as at the time of filling this story.
