BY AMOS DUNIA, ABUJA – A Presidential campaign rally of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), on Monday in Abeokuta, the Ogun state capital turn otherwise as pandemonium broke as crowd shouted ‘Ole’ thief at their party national leaders.

Things turned soar when President Muhammadu Buhari finished delivering his speech and was about to raise the hands of the Party’s recognised governorship candidate Mr. Dapo Abiodun, whom he asked to come to his right and shouts of  ‘Ole’ rented the air and was followed with throwing of stones at the podium where the president and party leaders were standing..

The infuriated crowd also refused to listen to plea by Governor Ibikunle Amosun, Abike Dabiri and the APC Chairman Adams Oshiomhole, was obviously their enemy ‘number 1’ that received most of the jeers.

President Buhari became vicariously liable to the action and or inaction of the APC’s national leadership as the irate crowd hurled stones at where he was standing and trying to raise the hands of Dapo Abiodun, the governorship candidate.

As if adding fuel to fire, President Buhari met stiff opposition from the crowd when he tried to persuade them to vote for Mr. Abiodun for which he got a resounding “Nooooooo” for an answer.

At this point in time, President Buhari dropped the hands of Abiodun which he had earlier raised and changed his direction of speech by asking the people to vote for their choice.

As a way to avert a looming danger that may become difficult to control, Buhari pointed said; “Vote for your choice on election day.”

Noticing the mood of the crowd and uncontrollable noise that was generated, the Master of Ceremony at the rally quickly announced that the programme has been brought to an end.
