Atiku In Katsina: Says Coomassie, Kaita Cannot Be Forgotten In A Hurry

BY GLORIA USMAN, ABUJA – Former Vice President of Nigeria and presidential aspirant on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar on Sunday in Katsina, the Katsian state capital said the late former Inspector General of Police, Alhaji Ibrahim Coomassie and the late former Governor of old Kaduna State, Alhaji Lawal Kaita can never be forgotten in a hurry.

Atiku, who stated this when he visited the families of the two sons of Katsina late and paid condolences to the two families, said he enjoyed wise counsel from both Coomassie and Kaita,

Atiku, who paid the visit a day after he formally declared his bid for the 2019 presidential contest, said he decided to pay the visit because of the special bond that he shared with the two departed souls.

In his words; “Beyond being associates, I tapped tremendously from their tap of wisdom and my prayer is that the Almighty Allah accepts their good deeds and forgives their shortcomings.

“I also pray that the bereaved families continue to have the comfort and strength to bear the loss,”

Atiku similarly led a delegation of associates including the Director General of his campaign organization and former Governor of Ogun State, Otunba Gbenga Daniel to the palace of Emir of Katsina, Alhaji Abdulmumini Kabir Usman to condole with him over the loss of his illustrious subjects.
