The All Progressives Congress (APC) National Youth Caucus, has said that no governor or National Assembly member on the platform of APC will defect to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Mr Haruna Okatahi, who is the Publicity Secretary of the caucus, expressed optimism in Abuja, saying the APC is united platform committed to delivering dividends of democracy for Nigerians.
The youth leader said that APC as a party in power would continue to maintain its majority status in the legislative arm of government both at the Federal and state levels.
“I can categorically tell you that no governor elected on the platform of the APC will defect to PDP even as the former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar has left the party,
“This is evident in what you heard from Gov. Jibrilla Bindow of Adamawa state who happens to be Atiku’s political beneficiary,
“He was on news yesterday telling the whole world that he would remain in the APC till death.
“Whoever is thinking that the exit of Atiku from the ruling party will lead to defection of governors, senators and House of Representatives members is daydreaming,” Okatahi said.
He expressed confidence that the APC would remain the ruling party and continue in power in 2019 because of its achievements.
