Automobile Crash Claims Lives In Bauchi
BY ADEYEMI AKANJI, BAUCHI – The Federal Roads Safety Corps (FRSC), Bauchi State command, has confirmed the death of two person burnt beyond recognition with some others badly injured in a multiple fatal automobile crash on Sunday.
A Road Traffic Crash (RTC) report from RS 12.14 Toro/Magama Unit Command made available to Journalists on Sunday, April 13, 2025, by the Sector Commander, CC Istifanus Ibrahim, showed that the crash occurred at 1101hrs.
Ibrahim said the report time of the crash was 1107hrs while the arrival time of FRSC personnel was 1116hrs making a response time of 09 mins, adding that the route of the crash was Toro-Bauchi while the location is Goljaradin junction, Magaman – Gumau on a paved road along the Jos-Bauchi highway.
He explained that the crash involved two Vehicles, a Mercedes Benz, truck and DAF DF-XF85, trailer, all used for commercial purposes, which registration numbers could not be read as they were burnt beyond recognition.
Ibrahim further said that the number of people involved in the crash were four, all Males out which number, two were confirmed dead.
The report said the probable causes of the crash were dangerous driving (DGD) and speed limit violation (SPV).
The officials of the FRSC later conveyed the corpses of the victims to the General Hospital, Toro where they were deposited at the Morgue.
