Bandits Abduct 300 Schoolgirls In Zamfara

Gunmen suspected to be bandits on Thursday night abducted over 300 schoolgirls at Government Secondary School (GSS) Jangebe in Zamfara state.

BBC Hausa Service quoted a teacher in the affected school and one of the students’ parents as confirming the incident, saying the girls were discovered missing after the usual roll call before light out.

For now, the Zamfara State Government and State Command of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) are yet to issue any statement on the missing girls.
