Bandits Attack Abuja Estate, Kidnap Residents
BY OUR CORRESPONDENT – Suspected bandits have reportedly abducted several residents after attacking EFAB Queens, a mini-complex inside Genuine Estate in the Gwarinpa district of Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Sources hinted that the attack was carried out in the early hours of Monday, June 6 between the hours of 1 am and 4 am with the criminal elements brandishing bows, arrows, and machetes.
It was gathered the bandits, who were in large number, gained access to Genuine Estate after Efab Queens on 6th Avenue, Gwarinpa, and attacked the residents, brandishing bows, arrows, and machetes.
Contacted over the incident, Police Public Relations Officer, FCT Command, DSP Josephine Adeh said it was not yet confirmed if the incident was a case of kidnap or robbery and promised to find out details as soon as possible
According to her, operatives of the Command have already been deployed to the scene to ascertain how the incident happened, adding that the public would be duly notified after details of the incident had been ascertained.
She also said that the Command only received reports of an unconfirmed incident in the Galadimawa area of the FCT and not Gwarinpa.
The attack is coming barely hours after many worshippers were killed in a Catholic Church in Owo, Ondo State.
