BY VICTOR BUORO – After enduring almost two months in the bandits’ den, fifteen kidnapped students of the Bethel Baptist High School in Kaduna State have finally regained their freedom.
Chairman of the Kaduna State chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Reverend John Hayab, confirmed that the bandits released the 15 students late on Saturday night.
It would be recalled that the bandits had earlier released 28 of the students on Sunday, July 25, 2021, after 50 million Naira ransom was paid, and they had spent 20 days in captivity.
In all, 121 students were reportedly kidnapped in the early hours of July 5, 2021, at about 2 am within the school premises located along the Kaduna-Kachia highway in Damishi, Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna state.
