Bauchi PFN Elects New Leadership
BY ADEYEMI AKANJI – The Bauchi State chapter of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), on Tuesday, February 20, 2024 elected new executive committee members to pilot its affairs for the next three years.
The election which was conducted at the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Alpha and Omega Parish, Bauchi was supervised by the National Vice President of PFN, Prophet Isa El-Buba.
Speaking shortly after the election, Prophet El-Buba tasked clergyman in the country to engage in preaching that will give their members hope in what he described as “this seeming hopeless situation” in the country.
He also urged them to use the pulpit to build friendship and unity among worshippers rather than engage in sermons that will further aggravate the already worse situation.
Represented by the Zonal Secretary of PFN, Rev. Sam T. Alaha, Prophet Isa El-Buba said that what the people need at this period are soothing words that will build their hopes to be able to navigate the current difficult situation.
According to El-Buba; “The best thing to do is to engage on massive teaching on self-reliance through entrepreneurship and prayers for divine intervention. The situation is not beyond redemption”.
El-Buba charged the new executive committee members to run an all-inclusive administration in order to achieve the set objectives of vying for leadership offices in the first place knowing that they are accountable to God who gave them the positions.
In his post-election remarks, the new PFN Chairman for Bauchi state, Pastor Promise Yohanna, commended the delegates for the maturity they displayed before, during and after the electoral process and assured that the new executive will carry all members.
Yohanna said; “We cannot do it alone. We need the cooperation and support of everyone to succeed in the task of leadership you just bestowed on us.
“The new leadership will embark on programme and policies that will uplift the body of Christians in the state so that they will speak with one voice,” he said.
