Bayelsa Commissioner Dumps APC, Cites Personal Reflection

The Bayelsa State Commissioner for Special Duties, Hon Michael Magbisa, has resigned from the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Magbisa, whose resignation was contained in a letter addressed to the leadership of the party in Sagbama Ward 10, announced the formal withdrawal of his membership of the APC.

The commissioner said his decision followed deep personal reflection, saying that although the move was difficult, but guided by his conscience and a need for clarity of purpose.

Magbisa further said that his decision was not made lightly, considering the role he played in the party and the commitment he invested in its development.

                                                   

He said; “This decision weighs heavily on me. It is not a departure made in comfort, but one shaped by deep reflection and an undeniable sense of loss”.

The commissioner noted that his relationship with the party went beyond mere membership, stressing that it was a political platform he joined with the intention of contributing to its growth and strengthening its structures.

According to Magbisa; “The party is not merely an association I belonged to; it is a structure I joined to build”.

Magbisa said that despite his exit, he harbours no resentment toward the APC and expressed hope that it would continue to grow stronger and maintain unity in the future.

In his words; “I part ways with the party with no ill will. Rather, I do so with a sincere hope that the All Progressives Congress will continue to find unity, strength and direction in the days ahead”.

Magbisa extended his appreciation and goodwill to the party leadership and members and assured them of his highest regards.
