A notable Philanthropist and who holds the traditional title of ‘Kauran Saminaka’, Alhaji Umar Adamkolo Umar, has appealed to Nigerian Youths to be the Vanguards for a more peaceful and prosperous society wherever they find themselves.
Alhaji Umar, made the appeal in Kano at his investiture as the Grand Patron of the Democratic Youth Assembly of Nigeria and the presentation of a Peace Ambassador Plate Number, in recognition of his contributions to peace, youth empowerment, and community development, urged youths particularly students to always remain law-abiding.
Alhaji Umar encouraged the students to concentrate on their studies and embrace entrepreneurship and vocational skills in the march to a self-sustainable future.
He commended the Democratic Youth Assembly of Nigeria for the honor, saying that it will spur him to continue assisting the less privileged in the society, stressing that he would ensure the sustenance of his philanthropic support to the organization morally and financially to enable it achieve its objectives.
While presenting the award, the President of the Democratic Youth Assembly of Nigeria, Ambassador Zaharaddeen Yahaya, said the honor was purely on merit and in recognition of Kauran Saminaka’s commitment to promoting unity, peaceful coexistence, and humanitarian activities across the country.
Yahaya also said that the organisation carefully selected the recipient after assessing his consistent support for young people, his encouragement of dialogue, and his efforts in fostering harmony among different communities.
He described the Kauran Saminaka as a leader whose actions have inspired many youths to embrace peace, hard work, and patriotism, stressing that the organisation was proud to appoint him as its patron.
