…Says ISWAP in control of 80 communities
The Christian Rights Agenda (CRA), on Sunday, April 27, 2025, declared that the killings in Benue and Plateau State which are genocidal in nature are totally unacceptable and therefore cautioned the Federal Government against cosmetic approach to the crisis.

The CRA which said that it has been watching with keen interest the sad events in the two affected states and other troubled spots in Nigeria in the renewed reign of terror attacks where the lives of Christians and other innocent Nigerians have become endangered, noted that the attacks are well coordinated and have the trappings of a terrorism by insurgents.

It however, cautioned state governors not to politicize the renewed killings, but should be honourable enough to call a spade by its real name.

These were contained in a statement by Reverend Kallamu Musa Dikwa, Secretary-General of CRA, in which he said that officials of the CRA have been sent on field operations to Benue, Plateau and Borno states to gather first-hand information on the extent of devastation suffered by Christians in the affected areas.

Dikwa said that preliminary report from the field indicated that over 80 communities have been taken over by the Fulani terrorists.

CRA further said that the attacks by the insurgents indicated that they are bent on fostering a regime of violence, religious and total anarchy which have claimed several lives, properties, and rendered several people homeless.
The CRA said said it is in the process of collating information to have an up-to-date data of the persecution Nigerian Christians are facing, especially in northern Nigeria.
It commended the new matching order given to security operatives by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to step up their game, but warned that such orders should go beyond its optics and ensure that they are followed and defaulters sanctioned as a deterrent to other saboteurs.
