A Federal High Court sitting in Yola, on Friday disqualified the All Progressives Congress (APC) from fielding a governorship candidate for the 2023 elections in Adamawa State.
The Court presided over by Justice A.M Anka in a judgement disqualified Senator Aishatu Dahiru Binani as the APC governorship candidate in Adamawa State.
Justice Anka also ordered Binani to desist forthwith from parading herself as the as the APC governorship candidate.
The Court ruled that the governorship primary of the APC in Adamawa State was void based on the fact that there was over voting and fielding of delegates from Lamurde Local Government Area where a congress was alleged not to have taken place.
One of the governorship aspirants, Mr. Nuhu Ribadu had challenged the victory of Senator Binani at the APC governorship primary in Court alleging over voting by delegates.
