BREAKING: Bishop Kukah’s Home Town Priest Regains Freedom
BY SEGUN ADEBAYO, ABUJA – Less than 24 hours after he was abducted from his official residence in Anchuna-Sarki in Ikulu Chiefdom of Zangon Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State, Rev Fr. Luka Benson was on Tuesday evening released by his captors.
A source confirmed that the cleric had since returned to the warm embrace of his parishioners who have continued to thank the Almighty God for the early release of the priest.
It could be recalled that Rev Fr. Benson, who is in charge of St. Matthew’s Catholic Church Anchuna-Sarki in Zangon Kataf LGA was abducted at his official residence where the Catholic Bishop of Sokoto Diocese, Dr Matthew Hassan Kukah hails from.
A source had confirmed that the kidnap had taken place during the evening hours of Monday. Our reporter could not confirmed if any ransom was paid before he was eventually released.
“I am happy to inform you that our priest regained freedom this evening. He was released today and is in good health,” said the source that requested anonymity.
