Buhari Ill, But Not In ICU – Aide Clarifies

Mr Bashir Ahmad, former senior Special Assistant to former President Muhammadu Buhari on Digital Media, has further confirmed that while the health condition of the ex-president has worsened, and receiving medical attention.

Ahmad however, said that Buhari is not in the Intensive Care Unit.

In a statement on Thursday, while dismissing speculations of a critical state, the aide to the former president, said that some of the media reports were exaggerated, saying that Buhari is stable and responding well to treatment, dismissing speculations of a critical state.

According to Ahmad; “We find it necessary to set the record straight. While acknowledging Buhari’s illness, we are optimistic about his full recovery”.

While appreciating public concerns, Ahmad expressed gratitude for the prayers and support from Nigerians and global well-wishers and urged for continued prayers for Buhari’s speedy and complete recovery.

He said the clarification followed growing speculation about the former president’s health, adding that the clarification is aimed at providing accurate information as well as to quell exaggerated reports about Buhari’s condition.
