Buhari Picks New Team For NEXIM Bank

An obviously reinvigorated Muhammadu Buhari’s presidency on Thursday continued the waves of appointments into federal government’s parastatals and agencies with the re-constitution of a new management team for the Nigeria Export-Import Bank (NEXIM).

The new team, approved by the President, has Abubakar Abba Bello as the Managing Director. Also appointed are Dr. Bala Mohammed Bello as the Executive Director, Corporate Services and Stella Okotete as Executive Director, Business Development. 

A statement dated 20th April, 2017 with the reference number PPR/OSGF/PR/03 and signed by the Director (Press), Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Bolaji Adebiyi said the appointments are with immediate effect.

Abba Bello takes over the NEXIM leadership from Mr Bashir Ali, who was the Bank’s Acting Managing Director since February 2017 when the President sacked the former Managing Director, Robert Orya
