If the government is sincere in ensuring justice, the kidnappers should be arrested and publicly tried for the world to know the sincerity of government in ensuring peace in the state.

“I hope the President’s statement of dealing with the perpetrators will not be a political statement meant to hide the truth under the carpet and get the wrong people on what they know nothing about. The truth of who did what must be told irrespective of tribe and religion, if that is done, it will really bring peace in the state.”

On his own part, Mohammed Suleiman, a Kaduna resident said, “Every right thinking person residing in the state has had enough of killings that has been on since the 80s and the sponsors and executioners have gone away with it. There is no how others will not join the queue to execute their evil and selfish desires causing havoc to millions of other citizens that desire peace in the state.

“The recent crisis has caused a lot of hardship to most residents especially during the 24 hour curfew imposed on Kaduna and environs in spite of the present hardship people are going through. Many homes hardly get a meal in a day not to talk of the imposition of the curfew that brought untold hardship to the people.

“Any step taken to ensure the arrest of those responsible of what people went through in the crisis is a welcome development and should be punished to serve as a deterrent to those who have such evil motives in the future.”
