The Cross River State Journalists Forum (CROSSJOF) in Abuja will on Tuesday, 2nd December 2025, honour Senator Jarigbe Agom Jarigbe with the 2025 Excellent Representation Award.
The Award is designed to encourage lawmakers from Cross River State who have distinguished themselves in quality performance, effective and meaningful representation of their respective constituencies at the National Assembly (NASS).
Additionally, the Forum will formally present its official magazine, ‘The Panorama’, a publication that highlights and promotes the activities of the South South State as well as Cross Riverians both in Nigeria and the diaspora.
According to a statement signed by Francisca Ogar and Raphael Ekpang, CROSSJOF’s Chairman, and Secretary, Senator Jaribe’s dedication to quality legislation, infrastructural development, and robust constituency outreaches have set him apart from his contemporaries.
The Forum also said after a careful consideration of all nominees, given their visibility at both chambers of the National Assembly, and back home in their respective senatorial districts and constituencies, Jarigbe emerged tops on the list with excellent credentials.
Furthermore, the results indicated that he is the lawmaker from Cross River State with the highest rating at the National Assembly whose constituents also testified to his good and impactful engagement at home.
Senator Jaribe will formally receive the award at CROSSJOF Day and launch of Panorama Magazine, holding in Abuja with the Minister of State for Industry, Trade, and Investment, Senator John Owan-Enoh, scheduled to deliver a keynote address on the theme: “Human Development: Building the Next Generation of Entrepreneurs in Cross River State.”

His Excellency, Governor of Cross River State, Prince Bassey Edet Otu is the Special Guest of Honour at the event that will be chaired by Ntufam Hilliard Eta, Chairman of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC)’s Governing Board
Other dignitaries expected to grace the occasion are retired Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Hon Justice Walter Onnoghen, and former Minister of Justice, Chief Kanu Agabi (SAN), as Fathers of the Day, with Mrs. Winifred Oyo-Ita, the former Head of Service, as Mother of the Day.
Speaking about the event, CROSSJOF Chairman, Mrs Francisca Ogar, said the Forum is focused on driving and sustaining discussions on improving the State’s welfare on the economic and development fronts going forward.
She explained that this year’s event is unique because the Forum will also launch its official magazine, ‘The Panorama’.
