C-River Journalists Forum Lauds Gov Otu, Congratulates Ogbeche
- Describes CPS appointment as well deserved
The Cross River Journalists Forum (CROSSJOF) in Abuja has lauded Governor Prince Bassey Otu for appointing one of its members, Comrade Emmanuel Ogbeche, as the Chief Press Secretary (CPS).
The Forum, an umbrella body for journalists of Cross River extraction practicing in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), also congratulated the new CPS on his appointment, describing it as well deserved.
A statement signed by the Forum’s Chairman, Deacon Ignatius Ushie noted that the appointment made by Governor Otu clearly indicates his recognition of excellence and professionalism in service delivery.
The statement pointed to Ogbeche’s antecedents as Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), FCT council, a position he occupied at the time of his appointment, adding that the new assignment was earned through hard work and commitment to the pen profession.
The Forum expressed confidence in Comrade Ogbeche’s ability to efficiently deliver on the new assignment and urged him to work assiduously towards enhancing Cross River State’s image on both domestic and global stages.
In wishing Ogbeche a successful tenure in office, the Forum pledged its readiness to support him in the task of upholding the glory of Cross River through extensive reportage of programmes and activities in the state for the overall public good.
