CAF Experts Meet To Analyse AFCON 2023 Monday

BY VICTOR OSOWOCHI – With proceedings at the current TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations tagged ‘Cote d’Ivoire 2023’ on a temporary break awaiting the resumption of hostilities in Wednesday’s semi-final matches, esteemed football legends and special guests are converging today, Monday, February 05, 2024, for a dynamic and insightful analysis of the 34th AFCON.

According to CAF’s Communication Department. these key figures, who constitute the tournament’s Technical Study Group (TSG), are set to captivate football enthusiasts and media with their detailed knowledge of the round leather game as they congregate inside the Main Media Centre (Palais de la Culture) in Abidjan, the Ivorian capital at about 13h00

The CAF statement further explained that this exceptional event will bring together an illustrious panel of football legends, renowned coaches, and esteemed guests, offering a platform for in-depth discussions, expert analysis, and compelling insights with the semi-finals fast approaching.

Listed among the panelists are Joseph Antoine Bell (Cameroon), Abdul Faisal Chibsah (Ghana), Edgar Watson Suubi (Uganda), Clementine Toure (Cote d’Ivoire), Herita Ilunga (DR Congo), Abraham Mebratu (Ethiopia), and Michael Amenga (Kenya).

The CAF’s press statement, which did not mention any particular name from Nigeria in the Study Group, also lined up Anthony Baffoe (Ghana), Emmanuel Adebayor (Togo), Siaka Tiene (Cote d’Ivoire), and Emmanuel Eboue (Cote d’Ivoire) as part of the special guests who will grace the event.
