- To stall Man United’s permanent deal interest

Worried that his impressive form and exploits have continued to gain huge attention from Manchester United’s faithful, officials and football pundits, Chinese Club, Shanghai Shenhua, are reportedly making moves to take back their on-loan Nigerian striker, Odion Ighalo.
According to Sky Sports, the Chinese outfit, determined to keep the Nigerian forward in their fold, are offering him a whopping £400,000-a-week two-year contract extension.
Reports indicate that with this spirited move from his parent Chinese club, pundits are already speculating that United’s hopes of signing the on-loan striker on a permanent basis this summer may be hitting the rocks.
The Red Devils brought the former Watford forward back to England during the winter transfer window in a deal that was initially criticized by many football experts.
Amidst global outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic and eventual suspension of footballing activities worldwide, strong speculations emerged that the Old Trafford Landlords are hoping for a permanent deal with the former Super Eagles’ goal machine.
Igahlo, who has been a big hit with the United supporters since arriving at Old Trafford back in January, has scored four times in his first three starts for the club.
The loan schedule is that Ighalo returns to China when the deal expires on May 30, 2020. However, the contract may be extended until June 30 because of the coronavirus outbreak, which has forced a break on the Premier League campaign.
