How Chinese Kills Nigerian Ex-Girlfriend, Buhari’s Daughter In Kano
BY SALISU IBRAHIM, KANO – A Chinese national, identified as Mr Gheng Quanrong has allegedly murdered his ex-girlfriend, Ummu Kulsum Buhari in Kano over claims of abandonment
It was gathered that the deceased, was stabbed to death by the Chinese ex-lover in her family house situated in the Janbulo area of Gwale Local Government of Kano state on Friday night.
A family source said after multiple stabbings, the deceased, also called Ummita, was rushed to the UMC Zhahir Hospital, located at 1C Forestry Road, Dorayi Babba, Janbulo, where she was certified dead.
The suspect was arrested by the officials of the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) and later handed over to the police.
The Kano Command Police Spokesman, Superintendent of Police (SP) Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, who confirmed the incident, said the suspect, a 47-year-old man, committed the crime after scaling the fence of the building to gain access to the house where he stabbed her severally.
In his confessional statement, the suspect alleged that the deceased, who was his girlfriend, deceived him after promising to marry him while he has spent a lot of money on her.
According to him, as a result of being deceived by his late girlfriend, he was devastated leading him to commit the act at the deceased’s residence.
SP Kiyawa further stated that the deceased’s mother raised an alarm during the act and immediately the Police were alerted of the development which made the Commissioner of Police in-charge of the Kano State command, Abubakar Lawan to direct the DPO of Dorayi Babba, to take charge of the situation.
He said the suspect has already been transferred to the state headquarters at Bompai for further investigation and subsequent prosecution.
The late Ummukulsum was buried on Saturday morning, in Kano.
