A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja, has dismissed a suit filed by a former presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) Dumebi Kachikwu and others challenging issues relating to the leadership and membership structure of the Party.

The court in its judgement, held that matters concerning internal party leadership and membership are internal affairs of a political party and therefore non-justiciable.

The suit filed by Kachikwu and other plaintiffs had sought the intervention of the court in matters concerning the ADC’s internal structure.

The court however held that such issues fall squarely within the party’s own jurisdiction.

This was as a statement by Bolaji Abdullahi, National Publicity Secretary of the ADC, on Friday, March 6, 2026, declared that the ADC is working toward building a stronger political alternative capable of putting the country back on track.

Abdullahi therefore called on interested Nigerians to register to become members of the party through its online platform, adcregistration.ng.
