COVID-19 Update: 343 Cases In Nigeria, 91 Patients Now Negative

As at Monday, April 13, 2020, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) says the 20 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 were recorded across the country.

The Centre said till date, there are 343 confirmed cases with 91 cases so far treated and discharged from the infectious diseases isolation centres.

According to the NCDC’s official website, ten (10) deaths have unfortunately been recorded in Nigeria since the outbreak of the pandemic in Nigeria.

It gave a breakdown of the 20 reported fresh cases as coming from five states, with Lagos, the epicentre of COVID-19, recording 13 cases.

The other States and their figures are; Ogun – two (2); Edo – two (2); Kano – two (2); and Ondo – one (1).

Meanwhile, the NCDC captured President Buhari’s national broadcast that poured encomiums on the country’s health workers in a series of tweets on its official handle.
