COVID-19 Update: Lagos Discharges 45 Patients

BY CHINYERE OBIORA, LAGOS – The Lagos State government on Saturday reported the good news that 45 COVID-19 patients have again been discharged from its various isolation facilities, having fully recovered and tested negative twice to the deadly virus.
With this new figure, the total number of coronavirus cases successfully treated and discharged from different isolation centres and accredited hospitals in the state has now risen above 700 cases.
The list of those discharged to reunite with the society comprises 23 males and 22 females and 23 males, according to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
A statement by Governor Sanwo-Olu, who is the Incident Commander in Lagos State, said further breakdown of the figures indicated that 19 patients are from the Mainland Infectious Disease Hospital, Yaba; three (3) from Onikan; and eight (8) from Agidingbi.
Others are: seven (7) from Lekki; one (1) from Eti-Osa (LandMark); and seven (7) from Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) Isolation Centres.
According to the governor; “With this, the number of patients successfully managed and discharged from our Isolation facilities has risen to 707.”
He further said; “As we look forward to more great news in the coming days, I urge you all to take responsibility and play your part for a #COVID-19FreeLagos, #ForAGreaterLagos.”
