COVID-19 Update: Nigeria’s Figure Now 373 As NCDC Confirms 11 New Cases

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) says as at 11:00pm on April 14, 2020, the number of COVID-19 confirmed cases had jumped to 373 in the country.

In its latest tweet, the Centre said of this number, 99 patients have been treated and discharged with the number of deaths recorded up by on to eleven (11) as at Tuesday night.

The tweet also said that eleven (11) new cases were reported in Lagos State. This is in addition to the 30 fresh cases reported earlier in the day from five states of the Federation.

According to the NCDC, the states and their respective figures are Lagos – 25; FCT – two (2); Akwa Ibom – one (1); Edo – one (1); and Kano – one (1)

The NCDC however said; “We need the compliance of #Nigerians with laid down recommendations to ensure our strategy for #COVID19 control effective.”

“In collaboration with affected states, we continue to work hard to ensure every suspect case is tested”, the Centre added
