Dreaded Terrorist, Dogo Gide Dies From Gunshot Injuries
One of the most dreaded terrorists raining havoc in the Northwest geopolitical zone Dogo Gide, known for his callous acts of terror, is dead.
Information pieced together by Forefront News indicated that Dogo Gide capitulated to gunshot wounds he sustained during a gun duel with troops of Operation Hadarin Daji (OPHD).
The gun duel took place on March 12, 2024 in the fearful and dangerous terrain of Madada Forest situated in Maru Local Government Area following which the dreaded Dogo Gide was allegedly smuggled to a hospital in Mabera, Sokoto State for medical attention but, was unable to make it as he eventually breathed his last.
Unconfirmed information pointed to the direction of his being assisted and evacuated to the hospital by a security operative who currently in custody thereby raising questions about possible collusion with some security personnel.
It was also gathered that the remains of the dreaded Dogo Gide, known for his reign of terror across the Northwest geopolitical zone was buried on March 24, 2024 in Dandalla Village.
The death of Dogo Gide marked a significant victory for the Nigerian security agencies, particularly the combined efforts of the 1 and 8 Divisions of the Nigerian Army.
Their coordinated search and rescue operation which eventually led to the successful rescue of the 237 Kuriga pupils from Kaduna state that were abducted from their school and taken to Zamfara State.
It was gathered that it was during the military operations at Madada, Kuyambana and Malekete to set the abducted pupils free that may have resulted in Dogo Gide eventual demise.
The notorious Dogo Gide had once claim responsibility for downing a military helicopter in the Dansadau-Birmin Gwari axis as well as the mass abduction of students from the Federal Government College, Yauri.
